The history

of Dolce Bontà

It all began in 1977, when Marisa,
a young housewife with a passion for cooking,
asked her husband Antonio,
an enterprising postman,
to bring the taralli (dry bagels)
she had made for her children
to the communal wood-fired oven.

One day, during one of these deliveries between
home and the wood-fired oven,
Antonio brought a basket of freshly
baked tarallini to the post office with him.
The fragrant smell and intense flavour
immediately won over his colleagues

who promptly asked him
if his wife could make some for them.
And so, the business went from producing
tarallini for two or three friends,
to 100 tons per day
